About Us

Pure Pilates was established by Leslie Brown and Laura Turnbull in September, 2006. Our mission is to improve your everyday life by helping you to maintain optimal health, feel better and work with any injuries.

We are certified experienced, Pilates Mat and Reformer instructors, with a unique certification in Integrated Movement Therapies(IMT). In training together at the widely respected Second Wind Pilates Plus studio in Mississauga, Ontario we gained strong principles and avid dreams with a focus on empowering individuals to achieve their goals and enhance their well being. We are passionate about Pilates and the knowledge we wish to share. We want to offer you the finest in Pilates training within the Durham region.

With unique hands on instruction, we will help you achieve your goals, ranging from increased flexibility to strength training and everything in between.

We use all of the Pilates Equipment including the Reformer, Wunda Chair and Barrels. Some of the small equipment includes stability balls, rollers, and fitness circles.

We want to motivate and inspire you, come join us in your Pilates journey.

At Pure Pilates we offer a variety of customized Pilates sessions to ensure everyone finds something they enjoy.

Private Sessions:
Private Sessions offer one-on-one training in a private room. You will be able to use a variety of Pilates apparatus ranging from smaller equipment, such as stability balls and rollers, to larger equipment like the reformer, chair and barrels. This unique one-on-one training will allow you to focus on your personal goals and work within your limitations. You will be assisted and encouraged by your instructor to reach your movement potential.

Semi-Private Sessions:
Semi-privates sessions of two clients, will be in a private room. You will be able to use a variety of Pilates apparatus ranging from smaller equipment, such as stability balls and rollers, to larger equipment like the reformer, chair and barrels. This semi-private training will allow you to work with a partner to focus on your personal goals and work within your limits. You will be assisted and encouraged by your instructor to reach your movement potential.

Group Classes:
Group classes are instructed in an intimate, open room, with a maximum of 10 people per class. This small group allows for the instructor to provide hands on training for each individual while still maintaining the flow of a group class setting. Beginners to advanced are welcome. Please refer to the schedules and fees for group classes available.

Team Training:
We welcome all teams, ranging from cheerleaders to hockey players. No minimum age level required.

Teens (8-18 yrs old):
We believe that a healthy body creates a healthy mind and why not start as soon as possible. Our teen classes are designed to inspire and self motivate. We aim to keep the classes fresh and new so there is always something of interest to look forward to.

Athletes:
All athletes looking for an edge on their competition can sign up for any of our sessions. We can also create a session that is geared to your particular sport.
